Hot chocolate

Hot chocolate

Ingredients

Yields approximately two cups.

Directions

Pour the milk into a pot and set it on medium heat. Add sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Mix well until they dissolve. Stir frequently. Don't cook it on too high heat because you don't want your milk to boil and curdle or else you'll get lumps in your milk.

Break your chocolate into tiny parts and drop them into the liquid. Stiff frequently until they fully dissolve, then continue stirring for a few more minutes until you get a desired creamy texture of your hot chocolate. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Do not add vanilla extract beforehand because it might turn bitter during the cooking process otherwise.

Serve by pouring into cups immediately while warm. Optionally, top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
